BespokeIND Reimagines the Afew x ASICS GEL-Lyte III "Koi"
Handcrafted from scratch with real fish skin.
Sneaker customizers BespokeIND recently created a brand new ASICS model — drawing inspiration from a past collab the sneaker brand completed years ago with Afew. For those who can recall, the duo linked up back in 2015 to rework the GEL-Lyte III in a themed “Koi” pack. In observance of Japanese culture, the colorway featured common tones found on a koi fish, including red, grey, white and black.
Carefully handcrafted from scratch using premium textiles such as suede, not to mention real fish skin, the customized rendition borrows from that same tonal palette, however, differs slightly in its design language. A decorative fish scale design can be seen on the side panel and toe vamp. BespokeIND will soon create eight customizable versions — allowing customers to personally outfit their own 1-of-1 sneaker.
