Armormax Creates Bulletproof Tesla Model S
Coming with lightweight extra protection.

American company Armormax is known for upgrading cars with its heavy duty bulletproof technology, and the latest car to get the treatment is a Tesla Model S. The car is wrapped in a ballistic shielding material made from lightweight composites, meaning that the bulletproof treatment only adds 550 pounds to the car’s weight. While this is still a significant increase, it ways in considerably under the usual 3000 pounds of traditional steel armor.
The Model S looks no different to other uncustomized versions of the model, with all of the bulletproofing being hidden away under the car’s exterior. The new material ties in with Tesla’s “Bio-Weapon Defense Mode” air filtration system to protect the car against different potential threats. There’s no fixed price for the bulletproof additions, but head over to the Armormax website to learn more.
