Tame Impala's Jay Watson Unveils Psychedelic GUM Video for "Gemini"
About as trippy as they come.
Last month, multi-talented Tame Impala musician Jay Watson dropped off his third studio album as GUM, Flash in the Pan. Continuing to support the project, Watson has unveiled a tripped-out visual for the album-opener “Gemini.” Today’s clip for the track comes to us courtesy of director Sam Kristofski, who has produced similarly-psychedelic videos for bands such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Explaining the narrative behind the latest Jay Watson vignette, Kristofski cites “old children’s fantasy shows” like The Neverending Story, the eighties, old filming techniques and astrology.
