sacai & Gloverall Come Together for FW18 Outerwear Capsule
Gloverall meets sacai’s hybrid aesthetic.
Following up a collaboration with UGG, sacai recently teamed up with traditional British brand Gloverall on a limited-edition outerwear capsule.
Paying homage to Gloverall’s duffle coat and hooded jacket, the Japanese label reworked the iconic silhouettes with its signature hybrid aesthetic. Available in two colorways for men and women, the jackets serve as a study of unexpected textures in its mixing of unexpected textures. The classic wool duffle coat is given a new voluminous shape through the juxtaposition of elements from down jackets. Reimagining the shorter hooded Gloverall jacket, sacai channeled military wear elements taking additions from MA-1 jackets.
Priced between £760 and £1,140 GBP (approximately $955 and $1,434 USD), the sacai x Gloverall outerwear capsule is available now for pre-order from Lane Crawford and will officially release at Dover Street Market locations and sacai flagships December 22.
