Independent & Vans Team up on a Commemorative Style 36 Pro
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Independent.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Independent recently teamed up with Vans on a collaborative capsule. Centered around a commemorative Style 36 Pro, the special release also comes accompanied by similarly-decorated apparel and accessories.
Drawing from the iconography associated with the Independent Truck Company, the new Independent x Vans Style 36 Pro features a suede upper that’s embossed with the signature Maltese cross logo, accented by metallic side stripes. Additional branding on the shoe comes in the form of warped “INDEPENDENT” stamps appearing on the heels. Finishing up the design is a checkerboard print ULTRACUSH insole, a contrasting white midsole and orange waffle outsole.
Priced at $90 USD, the Independent x Vans Style 36 Pro is available now from Vans and select skate retailers.
