KAPITAL Debuts Bob Marley-Themed SS19 Collection
Heavy reggae influences.
The latest range from denim experts KAPITAL centers around Jamaican culture — specifically, reggae icon Bob Marley. Spring/Summer 2019 blends familiar KAPITAL wares with a heavy influence from the island nation, with plenty of thematic imagery and colorblocked reds, yellows, and greens.
Along with the Japanese label’s signature smiley face and “FARMY” prints, prints include nods to Marley’s live album Talkin’ Blues complemented by a series of bespoke Marley patches. Washed, distressed and boro-stitched denim permeates the range, which includes handmade shorts and shirts from KAPITAL’s KOUNTRY line, bolstered by multi-pocketed jackets, oversized baseball shirts, relaxed chinos, haori-inspired shirt-jackets and flowing sarouel pants, the latter offered in woven iteration utilizing the colors of the Jamaican flag.
