Following Maison Margiela‘s recent inclination for more sock-adorned footwear releases, the house introduces a new take on it’s German military trainer-inspired Replica silhouette. This laceless version sees various windows cut out from the lateral, medial and toe portions of the shoe; exposing a black ribbed high-top sock.
From a top-down view, it is revealed that the sock is merely for aesthetics as a white leather insole can be seen poking through the bottom. Customary details include Margiela’s heel pick stitch, a “Numbers” garment label at the ankle of the sock, and gum-colored outsole.
