Advent Calendar Day 6: Doublet "Chaos Embroidery" Tracksuit

Doublet’s revamped track jacket and pants aided the young label in vaulting into the spotlight only one year ago, emblazoning the brand’s typically off-kilter embroidery across otherwise recognizable garments.
Each season, the Japanese label reworks the style, with this most recent iteration sporting overlapping patches and racing stripes to achieve a sporty aesthetic. Text and figures are layered into a dense mélange, living up to the title of “Chaos Embroidery.” By restraining the detailing to the arm and leg of each item, however, the garments remain markedly versatile, allowing the comfortable polyester garments to avoid the trap of becoming mere statement pieces.
The winners of the Advent Calendar will be announced on December 27.
