To the chagrin of DMX and Kanye West, a long-rumored remix of the TLOP cut “Real Friends” has surfaced. The leak comes via the way of same the hacker group, Music Mafia, who claimed they would drop a slew of “secret” industry tracks once its bitcoin wallet was filled.

Swizz Beatz originally hinted that this collaboration existed March 2016 through Instagram. However, after almost two years without any word of whether it would be available, two remixes have come to light – from Erykah Badu and Waka Flocka Flame – while DMX has had to deal with a tumultuous period battling drug addiction and legal issues. As the track sees life, listeners can hear that prevalent rawness as he flows over a range topics from ambivalence, patience and his acceptance of death. Listen to the track above.

How do you think this cut fares compared to other remixes? For more music news, listen to Cam’ron take shots at Kanye West on his latest single.
