New tunes for the weekend.

With just a few weeks left in 2018, we’re highlighting another incredible week in music by delivering another installment in our Best New Tracks series.
This time around, we’re shining the light on new videos, singles and projects from Ice Cube, Yhung T.O., A.CHAL, mxmtoon, Tove Lo and Homeshake.
Homeshake – “Nothing Could Be Better”

Salina Ladha
Homeshake, the project of Peter Sagar, shares new single “Nothing Could Be Better” with an accompanying video. Sagar says the song is about how “sometimes on the way to a social function you gotta ditch and hang out with your sweety instead because love is beautiful.” While video director Steve Smith “tried really hard [to capture] the dancing” in the animated clip. “Nothing Could Be Better” follows Helium lead single “Like Mariah.”
Tove Lo – “Cycles”

Universal Music AB
Tove Lo shares the new visual for “Cycles” from her latest album, Blue Lips, which dropped last year. The one-take video finds Lo on a rotational device during the colorful clip. The video follows Tove Lo’s Blue Lips short film, which was also directed by Malia James.
The 25-minute short film stars Tove Lo and Ana Coto, and features music from her full-length album of the same title and was co-written by the Swedish artist and Blue Lips director Malia James. Blue Lips short film follows the night time adventures of two friends Ebba (Lo) and Kit (Coto), as they blur the lines between reality, sex and their friendship, dipping in and out of induced highs, lows, nightclubs and bathtubs.
mxmtoon – plum blossom

mxmtoon
Bright new star, mxmtoon, brings her ukulele playing, folk-enriched style, and personal story to life on her debut project plum blossom EP. The 18-year-old artist weaves her youthful energy into her old-soul wit to craft her folksy bedroom-pop sound. The EP tackles many subjects, her reflections on the fragility of one’s spirit in “porcelain” to real-talk about giving too much of herself to someone else in “feelings are fatal.”
A.CHAL – EXOTIGAZ

Gazi World/Epic
Rising Peruvian-born singer, songwriter, and producer A.CHAL releases his new EP, EXOTIGAZ. The EP is led by his single “DÉJALO,” a simmering, bilingual record that sets the tone for the entire EP.
Yhung T.O. – Trust Issues

Rule #1/Interscope
After a strong year, SOB x RBE star Yhung T.O. drops his debut solo-tape Trust Issues. The project comes just months after SOB x RBE cohorts shared their sophomore album Gangin II in September.
Ice Cube – Everythang’s Corrupt

Lench Mob/Interscope Records
Ice Cube drops his long-awaited album Everythang’s Corrupt. The LP was in the works for several years and is Cube’s first proper album since 2010’s I Am the West. “It ended up taking longer than expected, but I’m glad it did, because the timing is perfect,” Cube said on Beats 1 radio. “Because if you look around, everything is corrupt. If you look at the situation on every level, there is corruption.”
