Stüssy Los Angeles Chapter hosted a house party on November 10 in celebration of the reopening of the La Brea, CA flagship store. The streetwear brand has released a recap video documenting what went down that night, which included performances by Playboi Carti, Guillaume Berg and Vacancy Inn.
The store was designed by Willo Perron & Associates and features a blend of traditional and modern design cues — plywood and cinderblocks coalesce with contemporary materials such as plexiglass, marble, and tile. “This space has more potential for discovery, moving away from linear retail,” Perron said. “We wanted to expose the layers and give basic materials different values. It’s deconstructed. Contemporary, and empirical. And maybe most importantly, it’s consistent with Stüssy’s laid-back southern California roots.”
