Stan Lee on the Birth of Marvel in Unreleased 'New York Times' Interview
Also touches upon how he wants to be remembered.
Marvel Comics co-creator and former president and chairman Stan Lee sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 95. While his loyal fan base from all over the world continues to mourn (and celebrate) the real life superhero, The New York Times has just shared a previously unreleased video of Lee from 2015.
In the five-and-a-half-minute clip posted above, Lee reminisces about Marvel’s beginnings, which started with The Fantastic Four, and what led him to his love of comics. Lee also goes into the founding of his pen name, how each of his characters came about, and finally how he wants to be remembered, stating he hopes people remember his good storytelling. Watch the video interview above.
The New York Daily News also paid tribute to Stan Lee by sharing a supercut featuring over 30 of Lee’s Marvel cameos. Lee passed away at the age of 95 following a bout with pneumonia and ongoing issues with his vision.
