A "Young Thug As Paintings" Exhibit Is Coming to Art Basel
Based on Hajar Benjida’s popular Instagram account.

Artist Hajar Benjida’s “Young Thug As Paintings” Instagram account was originally launched in 2016 as a school project; now, it’s officially an art exhibit.
As multiple outlets note, SCOPE Miami Beach will host the “Young Thug As Paintings” exhibit as part of its installation for Miami’s annual Art Basel event. Young Thug’s Young Stoner Life/YSL record label and 300 Entertainment are listed as the exhibit’s sponsors.
“I jokingly answered an interview question with ‘I hope to discuss renaissance paintings with Thug someday.’ One-and-a-half years later and I’m bringing my project to life together with Young Thug himself,” Benjida shared via an official press statement. Benjida’s original “Young Thug As Paintings” Instagram places pictures of Young Thug next to famous works of art.
The “Young Thug As Paintings” exhibit will run as part of SCOPE Miami Beach’s Art Basel installation from December 4 to 9. Head on over to the official SCOPE website for more information.
Last month, Young Thug and T.I. reconnected for the new “The Weekend” video.
