Lil Peep's Brother Speaks About His Death

It was sad and shocking news last week when it was announced rapper, Lil Peep had passed away. Though it was revealed by the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner that he likely died from drug overdose, fans have taken online to voice their concerns of how depression likely played a part in his untimely passing — something not unfeasible considering some of his emo rap lyrics and his final Instagram caption. However, his brother has said otherwise in a recent interview with People; “We [the family] have heard there was some sort of substance he did not expect to be involved in the substance he was taking…He thought he could take what he did, but he had been given something and he didn’t realize what it was…It was an accident, it really was an accident. He was super happy with where he was in life.”

It may take up to two months until a confirmed toxicology report is released, but in the meantime our thoughts are with his friends and family.
