HODINKEE and Swatch Return for the Sistem51 Blue Timepiece

HODINKEE links up with Swatch for the Sistem51 Blue timepiece, which features a navy plastic case measuring 42mm in diameter and 14mm in thickness. A unique aspect of the watch is that its color changes in different lighting, ranging from purple tones in some instances to midnight blue. Completing the design is a navy blue strap made from silicone rubber for lightweight wear.
The HODINKEE x Swatch watch runs on the Sistem51 movement, which is the world’s first mechanical movement crafted entirely by machine, made up of 51 parts and all held together by a single screw. Through the transparent caseback, we see the caliber movement made up of a navy, red and white pattern that winds the rotor spin, charging up the 90-hour power reserve. The face and the hands glow in the dark, while the date window lands on the six o’clock mark rather than the typical three o’clock mark.
Launching on November 26, the HONDINKEE x Swatch timepiece will be priced at $150 USD and is available for purchase on HODINKEE‘s online shop, Swatch.com and at the Swatch Time Square New York location.
