The Kloof 119A House Is Built to Embrace Its Surroundings
Offering views across Cape Town and the South African countryside.

Located near Cape Town in South Africa, the Kloof 119A house from architecture studio SAOTA has been designed to focus on its amazing views of the surroundings. The building offers views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Signall Hill, and Cape Town, as well as the mountains of the Boland and nearby winelands in the distance.
As well as a large number of windows, another way that these views are focused is through the inverted pyramid roof. This feature creates a window around the upper level, as well as allowing the building to open up to views of the surrounding mountains. The Kloof 119A house is set across three levels, with all of the living spaces being on the top floor so they enjoy the best views.
