Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” Lands Her First No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100
Dethroning Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”

Ariana Grande has had a whirlwind year, and now her hit song “thank u, next” has landed the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list as the top-streamed and top-selling song of the week. This is her first number one single. Back in 2014, her song “Problem” went to number two while “Bang Bang” and “No Tears Left to Cry” both reached number three.
“thank u, next” dethroned Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” after being in the number one spot for seven weeks. Grande’s break-up anthem is also the first number one debut for a woman since Adele‘s “Hello.”
In other music news, Travis Scott had postponed four shows on his ‘Astroworld’ tour.
