Apple's First Store in Thailand Includes a Rooftop Terrace
Located in the heart of Bangkok by the Chao Phraya River.

Apple has opened its first retail store in Thailand, located inside the ICONSIAM shopping center in Bangkok. The 565,000-square foot complex is situated alongside the Chao Phraya River and celebrated its inauguration in conjunction with the opening of the Cupertino company’s new brick and mortar establishment.
Designed by frequent Apple collaborators Foster + Partners and Chief Design Officer Jony Ive, the retail store features expansive glass facades with scenic views of the river and welcomes customers with a terraced rooftop garden and curved stone walkway. The latest location marks the tech giant’s second location in Southeast Asia after opening its Singapore flagship last year.
“Bangkok is a cultural and economic destination for the entire region and home to millions of passionate Apple customers,” stated Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail.
The interior includes a tree-lined Genius Grove mirroring the exterior’s landscape, as well as a massive 6K video screen and 20 tables featuring Apple’s full suite of products. The Forum will also host free “Today at Apple” sessions led by creative professionals. Take a closer look at Apple ICONSIAM in the photos above.
