Inside Todd James's "Nature's Candy" Exhibition at NANZUKA Tokyo
A solo exhibition of new works.
Following up on his “ELECTRIC RITUAL” showing at Alice Gallery in Brussels, Todd James recently opened his latest solo exhibition at NANZUKA in Tokyo, Japan.
Dubbed “Natures Candy,” the exhibition serves as the artist’s third presentation at the gallery and is comprised of all-new works. The new works see an exploration of contemporary society’s underbelly informed by the lines and forms of James’s graffiti roots. Aside from colorful cartoon figures, many of the pieces on display introduce James’s exploration of interior spaces that feature an interesting play on a bystander’s perspective.
