Ta-ku featuring Wafia - American Girl
His interpretation of Estelle’s “American Boy.”
While Ta-ku was watching old Kobe Bryant highlights, Estelle‘s Kanye West-featured “American Boy” was playing in the background — this gave him the idea to create a new rendition of the track. Titled “American Girl,” Ta-ku recruits his friend and singer Wafia to showcase her vocal skills and to sing a duet with him (he says he mustered enough courage to jump on the first verse.)
