LinkedIn released its list of 100 Most InDemand Employers of 2015, covering six different industries in North America. While the list is purely based around North American companies, it does give an enlightening view on where people want to work and how strong companies are built. Obviously, the list is generated through LinkedIn’s treasure chest of interactions (in the billions) between its 380 million-plus members. With information including reach, engagement and activity contributing to its data, the list will surely prove to be a useful tool for employers and prospective candidates worldwide for years to come. According to LinkedIn’s VP of Talent Solutions, Wade Burgess:

These sought-after companies share a common thread: a powerful employer brand that shows off their people, projects, culture, and the community they’ve created around the work they do. Missing the mark with your employer brand can mean missing out on the next great candidate. Our research shows that the top reason professionals decline taking a job with a new company is a lack of knowledge of what it’s like to work for that organization.

Divided among six different categories, here are the top dogs in Consumer & Retail, as well as Media & Entertainment:

Consumer & Retail

  1. Nike
  2. Procter & Gamble
  3. Starbucks
  4. Under Armour
  5. Unilever

Media & Entertainment

  1. The Walt Disney Company
  2. Netflix
  3. ESPN
  4. Fox
  5. The New York Times

Obviously, company culture and brand matter a lot to prospective talent, and it will be interesting to see how this list changes in following years or how employers take and use this information. Head over to LinkedIn to see the full blog post with accompanying infographics, and click here to see the full list including companies in tech and more.
