This Video Maps Out Every Marvel Movie Scene in New York City
Pinpointing the movie version to the real-life locations.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe may transport us to a superhero fantasy world, but many of its biggest movies scenes take place in New York City. In a recent video by Vanity Fair, (almost) every Marvel movie scene that takes place in the Big Apple is pinpointed on a map of the city, taking viewers on a tour of NYC through the Marvel narrative.
The highlighted scenes range from those establishing characters’ background stories — such as Peter Parker‘s Queens hometown and Steve Rogers’s Brooklyn — to fight scenes that take place in familiar landmarks. The video also pinpoints fictional Marvel buildings to their real-life neighborhoods/counterparts, such as the S.H.I.E.L.D. base next to Times Square, the Stark Expo (in Iron Man 2) in Flushing Meadows Park, and that Stark Tower, which is actually the MetLife building.
Check out the Marvel Universe New York City map above and comment if you know any other scenes that video missed out on.
