Karl Lagerfeld & PUMA Unveil Collaborative Apparel Capsule
To accompany their co-designed PUMA Suede models.
Just yesterday, we took a look at Karl Lagerfeld’s recent run-in with PUMA, as the duo unveiled images of a pair of Suede models. To help celebrate the model’s 50th year in the game, the famed designer applied a number of creative twists indicative of his own personal style, including a play on a black tuxedo jacket and a pair of shades, not to mention a mini avatar of himself.
Set to accompany the themed low-tops is an activewear-inspired apparel capsule, which in similar fashion to the aforementioned kicks, also sports conceptual elements borrowed from the high-fashion world. Staged in what appears to be a makeshift gym with basketball court markings emblazoned on the walls are men’s and women’s looks that loosely borrow from Lagerfeld’s love of slim-fitting suits. Standout pieces from the range include the women’s track jacket with its formal lapel collars and the men’s body-hugging hoodie/track pants combo. Finishing off the collaborative capsule is a small accessory lineup comprised of a backpack, shoulder bag and a cap. The Karl Lagerfeld x PUMA collection will make its debut on October 19 at PUMA retail stores and via karl.com.
