Phoebe Philo-Era CÉLINE Pieces Have Raised in Resale Prices by 30%
Thanks to the radical changes to the brand by Hedi Slimane.
CELINE has garnered a fair amount of press attention lately but one unsurprising aspect of the furore is that Phoebe Philo’s CÉLINE pieces have seen a spike in resale value following Hedi Slimane’s takeover. Business of Fashion reports that The RealReal saw a 52% rise in searches for CELINE in the days leading up to Slimane’s debut.
But, in addition to that, the site also saw that searches for Philo-era CÉLINE are still up by 30% during October when compared to the same period a year prior, while prices for the pre-Hedi era clothing is also up by 30%. Vestaire Collective also reports a similar story, with Phoebe Philo-Era clothing rapidly becoming collectors items.
