According to a recent report, neighbors of the NikeLab outpost on 21 Mercer in New York City are suing the concept store for “noise and violence” that happens at sneaker releases. Residents across the street at 22 Mercer have put forth the $3 million USD lawsuit — citing past hyped drops have left residents distraught.

In the past, several releases drew large crowds that subjected residents to public drunkenness and urination, violence, loitering, littering, drug use, yelling and screaming. Some specific incidences that occurred between 2014 and 2016 that were highlighted in the suit featured police intervention, guns being pulled out and riot-like behavior.

Stay tuned for more developments in the NikeLab 21 Mercer lawsuit. Also, teasers of a potential sequel to Skepta’s Nike collaboration recently surfaced.
