Jil Sander's Fall/Winter 2018 Collection Sees Minimalist Wares at Its Finest

Luke and Lucie Meier are on an everlasting mission to create minimalist and purposeful garments that can stand the test of time. This is evident in the designer couple’s latest Fall/Winter 2018 collection for Jil Sander.
Drawing inspiration from pre-technical sportswear, the cold season assemblage is a well-cut swathe of modern silhouettes wrapped in astral hues of green, grey, and beige. Additionally, Sander’s signature dark navy and tonal black shades are prevalent in the range. Hard-hitting pieces include down coats that tap design cues from military bivouac sleeping bags, hooded shell jackets that stretch just right at the knees, sportcoats with contrasting stitch details, leather jackets with buckled fur hand-warmers, and formal footwear that boast textured rubber overlays and protruding outsoles.
