Derek Wise Shares New Music Video and Three Brand New Tracks
New material from one of Toronto’s most talented.
Though he just dropped his EP Glam Wave last month, Toronto’s Derek Wise is already back with some fresh new material for his fans and followers. One of the songs from the EP, “Runnin It,” gets a visual treatment courtesy of noted director Zac Facts, who recently directed Tory Lanez’s “Diego” video. The moody settings provide a perfect visual accompaniment to Wise’s defiant raps and Geoff Wood’s sulky production. In addition to the video, Wise has also dropped three Glam Wave bonus tracks — ”Free Up” and “Opinions,” produced by Urs Truli, and “Glam” produced by Tommy Kruise. The tracks are all in line with Wise’s unique, dark style that has become his signature sound — gloomy melodies, introspective lyrics and slapping trap productions.
