2018 Yams Day Shut Down Early Because of "Crowd Control Situation"
NYPD denied there were gunshots.

This year’s Yams Day concert was shut down abruptly on Thursday night, January 18, when a brawl broke out during A$AP Rocky’s set. NYPD confirmed to NY Daily News that a “crowd control situation” was the reason for the show ending early. It was also rumored that gunshots were heard but those claims have been denied by the NYPD.
The fight broke out backstage. Witnesses say that chairs were being thrown. A DJ informed the crowd shortly after that the show was over and asked everyone to begin leaving, however many stampeded for the doors. There were also rumors that Brooklyn rapper Tekashi69 was shot or stabbed at the show but he later took to social media to say that he was fine and he wasn’t involved with the fight.
Yams Day is an annual concert that is held to honor the memory of the late A$AP Yams, who died of an accidental overdose in 2015. The event featured acts such as A$AP Mob, Flatbush Zombies, Playboi Carti, French Montana, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Nav, G Perico, among others.
