Yashica's "Unprecedented" Camera Comes to Kickstarter
With a follow-up to its previous video.
Japanese brand Yashica released a teaser video alluding to the creation of a new camera. The teaser, titled “The Prologue,” showcases a girl walking around with an old Yashica film camera and a short scene with a clip-on smartphone lens.
The visuals begin with the tagline: “Expect the Unexpected:The Unprecedented Camera by YASHICA” with “October 2017, Kickstarter” appearing thereafter. The company was founded back in 1949 in Nagano, Japan as a manufacturer of clock components. It made its first camera in 1953 and, if the teaser is to believed, now aims to deliver more to the photogrpahy market. Now this, along with the previous “The Silence of Story” visual, will build upon a narrative of Yashica’s return, which will continue to unfold come winter; stay tuned.
