After releasing the first and second parts of the Carnival series 10 years apart in 1997 and 2007, Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean is continuing this trend with the drop his latest album Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee. Living up to its title, Wyclef begins the first track “Slums” by dedicating it all of the refugees around the world. This theme is continued throughout the 12 track album, which sees features from the likes of Jazzy Amra, Tbaby, and LunchMoney Lewis.

In a recent interview, Wyclef said that he hopes to continue the series in the future, with Carnival IV: The Return of the Perfect Gentleman set to release in 2027.
