rag & bone was once a highlight of New York Fashion Week, but this year they’re the latest brand to skip the event altogether. Instead, the New York based brand has decided to produce a lookbook of their collection featuring self-portraits of Selah Marley, Georgia Fowler, Bobby Cannavale, and more.

Instead of receiving payment, each subject modeling in the collection have also selected a charity of their choosing for the brand to make donations to. Organizations such as the Lupus Foundation of America, Earth Justice, Open Door Foundation, Oceana, and hurricane relief efforts for The American Red Cross and the Houston Humane Society will receive donations from rag & bone.

Marcus Wainwright, CEO and Creative Director of rag & bone, said in a statement:

For a while now I (along with what seems to be a lot of people!) have been questioning the effectiveness of the traditional fashion system, particularly for rag & bone. Coupled with everything that’s going on in the world today, it felt somewhat tone deaf to do a runway show or throw a huge event. So while we are huge believers in NYFW, and in many ways have it to thank for so much, we are opting out of being on the calendar this season and instead are doing something that we feel is more relevant, impactful and meaningful.

The collection includes casual pieces like stylish plaid suits for the ladies and bombers for the men. Take a look at the wardrobes in the gallery above and share your thoughts in the comments below.
