Harrison Ford & Ryan Gosling Discuss ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and Acting
When you put two Blade Runners in a room together.
In July, Warner Bros. Pictures thrilled the sci-fi community with the trailer for Blade Runner 2049. The movie, set 30 years after the original, brings together two of Hollywood’s big hitters — Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford.
In this recent WIRED interview, Ford and Gosling discuss the intricacies of working together, who has the bigger pecs and whether or not director’s give good advice. The pair, while at differing stages of their career, both provide some amusing insights into the world of acting and their off-screen chemistry bodes well for those hoping that Blade Runner 2049 can take its place among the pantheon of sci-fi greats.
Ford, known by many for his role as the infamous smuggler Han Solo, is a veteran of the genre and says that he personally picked out Gosling to play the new blade runner, LAPD officer K. With such a big cult following the pressure is on for Gosling to justify Ford’s choice and reanimate the Blade Runner universe.
