mastermind WORLD & adidas Originals Officially Unveil Their Fall/Winter 2017 Collection
A powerhouse collaboration.
After unveiling its inaugural Fall/Winter 2017 range, mastermind JAPAN’s newly launched diffusion line, mastermind WORLD, recently teamed up with adidas Originals on a collaborative EQT collection.
Coming together to build upon adidas’s ’90s EQT series with a range of essential silhouettes accented by premium constructions and the signature skull and crossbones motif, the collection translates the iconic Japanese label’s signature visual language into the athletic realm.
The apparel section is comprised of a track top, hoodie, T-shirt, and pants in a black and blue color scheme with paneling, reflective details, aggressive hardware and engineered textured knit co-branding serving as key design touches. The thoughtful design found in the items is continued on the black and “Mystery Ink” colorways of two of adidas’s BOOST-upgraded EQT silhouettes.
The EQT Support Ultra features a premium leather and mesh upper, contrasting BOOST midsole and mastermind WORLD branding on the lateral of the shoe, while the accompanying EQT Support 93/17 features a stretch textile and mesh upper with a full-length BOOST midsole.
Retailing between $130 and $300 USD, the adidas Originals by mastermind WORLD collection is set to release September 29 at HBX and select adidas retailers.
