During his tour of Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, Tyler, the Creator managed to live his dream of seeing what’s behind the scenes of stop motion films. His fantasy quickly became a reality in the first Nuts + Bolts “Stop Motion” episode. Throughout the program, Tyler gets sound advice from directors and animators behind James and the Giant Peach, Cranes in Love and more.

Carrying on his obsession with flowers, the plot behind Tyler’s first stop motion short film is switching the role of flowers as “nature’s eye candy” to them being the replacement for drugs like heroin. The short film co-stars Odd Future’s Jasper as a character who unfortunately gets his head shot off as a result of a bad drug exchange in a diner.

Check out the entire process and intricate details of the creation behind Tyler, the Creator’s first official stop motion project and let us know your thoughts.
