Soulland Teams up With Australia's Contra on a Collaborative T-Shirt Drop
Coming with a 12-piece sticker pack.
Fresh from dropping its 2017 fall/winter lookbook, Copenhagen-based label Soulland has announced a T-shirt collaboration with Australian retailer Contra. The inspiration for the tee comes from a variety of tulip, the Semper Augusta, which became hugely popular in 1637, forcing the price for a single bulb above the prices for gold and silver. As quickly as the Semper Augusta boom had started, the price crashed and Dutch entrepreneurs were all left with a huge loss. This story is reflected in the T-shirt, which features an image of a tulip as well as the word “MADNESS” on both the front and the back.
Accompanying the tee is a 12-piece sticker pack which also references the tulip market crash influence with the phrase “it’s all down hill from here” as well as the graphics from the T-shirt. The stickers will come free with every T-shirt, which will drop on August 26 and be available exclusively from Contra and Soulland.
This isn’t Soulland’s first collab of the summer: the Danish brand also teamed up with fellow Copenhagen store Rezet on a sneaker-focused capsule collection.
