Get Amped for Mayweather vs. McGregor With The Killers' New Video For "The Man"
Complete with casinos, supercars, cabanas and more.
The long-anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is just days away. To further promote the showdown, The Killers teamed up with Showtime to release a new music video for their most recent single, The Man. In the video, the Las Vegas band performs inside a boxing ring in the middle of a desert coupled with shots of the fighters’ previous matches, heated conferences, luxury casinos, Lamborghinis, pools, and even helicopter rides.
“I think there’s a symbiotic relationship between using a song like ours, Las Vegas and a boxing arena. Business of boxing. It seemed to make sense. And I just wanted an excuse to wear this suit again. Really the main reason,” lead singer Brandon Flowers told Rolling Stone. Regarding the upcoming match, Flowers expressed, “It sounds like an exciting movie in the ’80s. It sounds like some movie, good premise. It’s exciting. It is surreal.”
Check out the promo video above and expect the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight to launch on Showtime PPV this August 26. Furthermore, The Killers’ upcoming Wonderful Wonderful fifth studio album is slated for release on September 22.
