New Balance's Latest 574 Model Is Inspired by a "Lost Prototype"
From the ’80s.

New Balance‘s newest take on the 574 model taps back into the depths of the American imprint’s archives, sourcing inspiration from a lost prototype of the 574 design from late 1980s. Dubbed the 574 MLP, “LP” for lost prototype, the retro model features a classic suede and mesh upper that comes in three color variations of blue, dark navy and burgundy. Each model is equipped with a thick half-gray, half-white midsole as well as an off-white rubber heel counter for some retro wear vibes. New Balance stans may notice that this modernized design blends elements of the 576 from the ’80s and the released 574 design of the early ’90s.
The New Balance 574 “Lost Prototype” will release on September 9 at select NB retailers worldwide and online at New Balance’s webstore.
If you prefer clean, modern kicks, New Balanced just launched the 247 in “Infrared.”
