On Tuesday, J. Cole took a break from his tour schedule to visit one of the country’s largest prisons to speak with inmates who are doing life in jail. San Quentin State Prison, the correctional facility Cole visited, is a state prison located north of San Francisco for men. Alongside Dreamville president Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, Cole met up and spoke with inmates who “will never see the outside again,” Hamad writes in an Instagram post. “That experience was a life changing experience and wish I had the ability to put that in a caption but that wouldn’t be doing it justice,” the Dreamville president continued. Dreamville’s head of art direction, Felton Brown, added to the sentiment: “Spent a day with some brothers who stories go unheard behind the wall. Learned a lot, so much work to be done. This system will try to not give you a voice but we’re listening.”

4 Your Eyez Only Tour found the rapper wearing an orange prison jumpsuit while a group of actors dressed as policemen escorted him on stage. Take a look at the posts below.
