Volvo Will Install Electric Motors in Every New Car Made From 2019 Onwards
The car manufacturer is thinking of the future.

Swedish car manufacturer Volvo has announced a big step forward in terms of electric cars, with every car made by the company after 2019 having an electric motor. The company will release a selection of petrol and diesel hybrid cars, as well as five fully-electric cars, of which two will come from the Polestar performance division. Volvo’s chief executive, Håkan Samuelsson, said that “this announcement marks the end of the solely combustion engine-powered car.” He also revealed that the move came on the back of pressure from customers, adding that “people increasingly demand electrified cars and we want to respond to our customers’ current and future needs.”
There has been a huge move towards electric cars recently, and even British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin has announced that it has an all-electric car in the works.
