Dover Street Market Is Set to Open a New Location in Los Angeles
“It’s going to be designed by Rei, and it’s going to look different.”
With the opening of a Singapore location just around the corner, Dover Street Market recently announced it is set to open a new location in Los Angeles. According to WWD, Rei Kawakubo’s latest DSM outpost will be located in a 10,000-square-foot unit in the City of Angels’ downtown Arts District and is currently under construction. Adrian Joffe, Kawakubo’s husband and CEO of COMME des GARÇONS, notes that the location is set to open in March 2018 and will be spread across one floor unlike the retail store’s current multi-level locations. Adrian Joffe states:
“It just felt like the right time and the right place. This is not part of a five-year plan. You know us… It’s going to be designed by Rei, and it’s going to look different.”
