The Jordan Trainer 2 Flyknit "Tar Heel" Is a Tribute to Michael Jordan's Alma Mater
His Airness pays respect to his former team.
It’s no secret that Michael Jordan is very appreciative of his former school, the University of North Carolina. After spending four years there during his NCAA career, Jordan has made a number of appearances and creating a handful of player exclusive models and colorways for his sneakers. Now, the Jordan Trainer 2 Flyknit is the latest sneaker to get the Tar Heel treatment. Both signature colors of the school’s team are well represented, with the strap acting as a border between the baby blue and the white on the sneaker’s upper. The sneaker’s Flyknit body is paired with Nike’s signature Air Zoom sole, creating a shoe that’s both lightweight and comfortable.
The Jordan Trainer 2 Flyknit “Tar Heel” colorway is available now at select Jordan Brand retailers for $140 USD, with an online release expected to come soon.
