Behind-The-Scenes Footage of 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Shows Carrie Fisher's Final Days on Set
“It’s about family and that’s what’s so powerful about it.”
We got a first look at the set of the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi film at the end of May. Now, the film has released it’s first behind-the-scenes look which showcases not only some of the action-packed scenes from the eighth film — Rogue One isn’t part of the main family as it didn’t receive an episode number — but also some of Carrie Fisher‘s final days on set as Leia. Right off the bat we get a glimpse into the magnitude of the sets, costume design and hear commentary from the main characters like Daisy Ridley (Rey), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), John Boyega (Finn), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma) and director Rian Johnson. In addition, we get to see some of the new creatures and visual effects that have been added in the new film. Finally, the late Carrie Fisher (Leia) brings it all together and tells us why Episode VIII will be the most special film yet; “It’s about family and that’s what’s so powerful about it.”
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters on December 15.
