The Nostalgic Nike Foamposite "Eggplant" Will Be Making a Comeback
7 years since the silhouette was last in stores.
When it was first released back in 2009, the Nike Air Foamposite One ”Eggplant” proved to be one of the silhouette’s most popular colorways. The sneakers were re-released a year later, but since then, that’s all we’ve seen. Nike, though, is now bringing the classic colorway back with a new “Eggplant” Foamposite drop later this month. The reissued sneakers feature the iridescent Varsity Purple upper, with 1Cent branding, contrasting black details and an icy midsole. The “Eggplant” Foamposites will be available on July 29, with the rereleased sneakers retailing at $230 USD.
The “Eggplant” is just the latest Foamposite reissue as Nike celebrates the sneaker’s 20th anniversary, with the “Metallic Red” and “Copper” also getting revived earlier this year.
