Karimoku & Medicom Toy Release a 60-Pound, Solid Wood BE@RBRICK

Japanese toymaker Medicom has teamed up with wood experts Karimoku Furniture once again on a BE@RBRICK constructed entirely of wood. Last year, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Japan’s Toy Expo, the two brands collaborated on a “Woven Wood” BE@RBRICK. This year, their back with a much larger wooden BE@RBRICK that weighs 58 pounds and is just a little over two feet tall. Artisans worked on the toy bears for months using a special carving technique known as Yosegi-zukuri. Each one comes packaged in a wooden box and can be purchased now at WOAW’s shop in Hong Kong for $8,940 USD.
