Former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez Thinks Conor McGregor Can KO Floyd Mayweather
“If you don’t think Conor can knock this guy out, you’re an idiot.”
Speaking on ESPN‘s “Five Rounds” podcast, former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez has given his predictions for the upcoming McGregor vs Mayweather fight. “Conor has about three or four rounds to get this done,” Alvarez explained, “when this comes down to being a technical boxing match, which is usually around round four, it usually goes to the more technical boxer.”
Even though this might sound like Mayweather has the upper hand, Alvarez was still backing McGregor: “Within them four rounds, if you don’t think Conor can knock this guy out, you’re an idiot or you just don’t know fighting.” You can listen to the whole conversation with Eddie Alvarez, which also includes him explaining that he wishes he was as funny as McGregor, above.
While the fight was initially predicted to be one-sided, recent events have seen McGregor’s odds drop as more and more people back the Irish fighter.
