Through its eccentric design language and jaw-dropping retail exhibits, COMME des GARÇONS has continued to push fashion to its outermost limits, while inspiring legions of young creatives to look past the obvious and into the realm of originality. This could not be more evident than in the fashion house’s recent pairing with Nike. Having remixed several Swoosh classics in the past, CDG this time reach for Nike’s Air Force 1 to creatively customize. First appearing up on runways of Paris Fashion Week for its 2017 fall collection, the sneakers, seen here in monochromatic black and white iterations, bear a mold-like structure on the toe region. The interpretive designs can be seen now at its HOMME PLUS installation at Dover Street Market New York. Whether these models will ever hit the shelves for purchase has yet to be confirmed. Be sure to stay tuned for future updates.
