Balenciaga Overhauls Its Speed Trainer With Woven Fabrics
A brand new look for the comfy slip-on.

After its initial release back in November, Balenciaga is giving its Speed Trainer a modern makeover. This time around, the French fashion house chose to swap out the knit sock upper in favor of a woven fabric texture pieced together with thicker strands of thread in comparison to some other woven sneaker models we’ve seen in the past. Offered in both red and black colorways, the shoe features the same textured white sole that was part of the last iteration of the Speed Trainer, with built-in shock absorption and memory foam for extra comfort and stability. The shoe is finished off with an elastic collar at the top of the body.
The new Balenciaga Speed Trainer is available now in limited sizes in both red and black through the brand’s web store for €795 EUR ($905 USD).
