Wales Bonner Reinterprets Traditional Tailoring for 2018 Spring/Summer
Reworking customary classics.
In our last look at Wales Bonner, its LVMH prize-winning designer Grace Wales Bonner presented a fall collection, which did well to intersect not only eclectic designs sensibilities, but cultural and gender-related ones as well. In preparation for next spring, designs appear simplified while still maintaining the artistic integrity the brand has always been known for. Traditional takes on suiting options including blazers, button-down tops and form-fitting trousers make noteworthy appearances, while printed sleeveless tops and the use of leather add stylized flavor to an otherwise conventionally-crafted presentation.
