Drake Signs New R&B Singer Plaza to OVO Sound
OVO’s stable of artists continues to expand.
It appears Drake is expanding his OVO roster as it was recently announced that Toronto R&B singer, Plaza, is now the newest member of the label. News broke over the weekend during the latest taping of OVO Sound Radio when towards the end of the segment, Oliver El-Khatib announced “Before I leave, gonna play Shadow, an EP by Plaza, the newest member of the OVO Sound family.” This follows the signing of dvsn back in February 2016 that was also made public in the same unexpected fashion. Needless to say, Drake has a proven track record of signing unknown artists and then turning them into stars which one can say, has become lost art in the music industry. As it stands, the OVO imprint now consists of Roy Woods, Majid Jordan, dvsn, PARTYNEXTDOOR and OB O’Brien.
