Nike Unveils New Way to Purchase Kicks Starting With the Nike SB Dunk High Pro "Momofuku"
You’ll need SNKRS and some finesse.

Experimenting with new methods to release sneakers, like the “Shock Drop” system for the Air More Uptempo “Night Maroon” sneakers, Nike and Momofuku have teamed up to debut a new way of purchasing via an in app camera. In order to buy the Nike SB Dunk High Pro “Momofuku,” customers will need to have the latest version of the SNKRS app.
Inside the sneaker post on SNKRS, users will find a GIF of the silhouette rotating and will have to tap this to open a new camera function. Once the camera is open, users will have to find David Chang’s Fuku East Village menu either at the actual restaurant, around New York City at Chang’s other restaurants or above in our gallery. These photo triggers will allow you to buy the sneaker once you unlock it by hovering the camera over the menu image. Assuming pairs are still available, you can purchase it via an invite in your SNKRS Feed and Inbox. In addition, NikeLab Mercer and select retailers will also have pairs for $110 USD.
Let us know what you think of the new launch system as Nike will look to use it moving forward on other high-profile drops.
